We kicked off our Summer Migrant Education sessions June 22 – with family portraits, poem writing and healthy living workshops! The families that came partook in lessons which empowered them to create their own memory albums, which would hold their photos and document the important times in their lives. Outside The Lens partnered with the Department of Migrant Education to give these families official family portraits, supplies for these albums, time to start their scrapbook, areas for the kids to play, a table of books and even a dentist who was doing free checkups. We’re so excited to start these sessions up again this summer!
