About OTL’s Open House

Outside The Lens’ Open House is a vibrant celebration of creativity and community. Held in August at our state-of-the-art Wonder Lab in San Diego’s East Village, this event provides a unique opportunity to experience the transformative power of media arts. 

During the Open House, visitors explore our innovative media arts programs for youth, teens and young adults, and participate in hands-on activities guided by our expert Media Educators. This event features interactive art projects, student-created videos and animations, and immersive artwork installations.

Guests also enjoy sparkling beverages and delicious nosh, all accompanied by music on vinyl from our own OTL DJ. The Open House is a chance to connect with the creative community and local educators, learn about our programs, and experience firsthand how media arts inspire and engage young people.
