Voice Out: A Youth Media Arts Exhibition – Opening Weekend Events

Friday, May 15th and Saturday May 16th

Voice Out is OTL’s annual juried youth media arts exhibition, showcasing photography, digital illustration, and mixed media created by San Diego artists ages 8–25. This year, through the lens of Wonder, we celebrate nearly 200 submissions and 25 years of amplifying youth voice.

Educator Trainings

Outside The Lens offers comprehensive arts-integration teacher training. These trainings enable educators to integrate art-based lessons into their core curriculum and broaden the reach of our transformative programming in San Diego and beyond.

Our trainings are available for individual educators, grade level teams, schools, or districts. Trainings equip participants with innovative ideas, practical skills, and ready-to-use projects aligned with Media Arts and Common Core standards.

Outside the Lens seamlessly incorporates media arts and 21st-century skills into core curriculum.

Our immersive, hands-on workshops provide classroom teachers with the tools and resources needed to revolutionize their instruction and foster creative, engaging, and student-centered learning environments.

Workshops provide participants with access to projects developed by our experienced Media Educators. Our educators offer invaluable guidance and support, sharing their wealth of knowledge to help ensure the success of arts integration.

All topics align with Media Arts and Common Core Standards, social-emotional learning, and are adaptable for different age levels to ensure your team receives the highest quality professional development.

Watch as your team is inspired and well-prepared to engage youth in the media arts. Educators will be able to confidently integrate media arts concepts into their lessons and transform traditional classrooms into dynamic hubs of innovation and creativity in learning.
