Outside The Lens Plans to Relocate from Historic Wonder Bread Building

SAN DIEGO, CA – “Outside The Lens has proudly called San Diego’s historic Wonder Bread building home for three and a half years. We are glad to see this landmark property preserved and reimagined as a new venue for live music in our region – fueling our creative sector and activating the East Village in a collaborative, visionary way.

As our current building transitions into its new chapter, we are, too. Outside The Lens is actively exploring options for a new home in Downtown San Diego.

This year marks a significant milestone for Outside The Lens: our 25th anniversary. As we celebrate a quarter-century of engaging young storytellers and changemakers, we’re approaching this transition with intention, optimism, and a clear focus on our students and their families. We look forward to sharing details on our new location in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, young San Diegans continue to be welcomed by OTL as a third space and a resource for learning and self-expression. We remain fully committed to keeping our mission and programs—igniting confidence in young people through the power of media arts—accessible for decades to come.” – Sarah Beckman, Executive Director at Outside The Lens
