In the spring of 2005, Tibora (an Outside The Lens staff member) had the opportunity to visit Prague in the Czech Republic. During her visit, she ensured there was enough time to stop by the Klicek school in order to expose the children to the Outside The Lens international workshop. While she was visiting, she led the students through our “Here I am” project. This projects gave students the opportunity to capture self-portraits and write a special poem to accompany their pictures. In addition to the project, the children wrote pen pal letters that were exchanged with current Outside The Lens children in San Diego.
