Using a Polaroid camera, you’ll capture landscapes and overlay your images with personal reflections, drawings, or written intentions. Through guided prompts, you’ll explore your relationship with the land and dream about what an ideal park or community space could look like. At the end, you’ll contribute to a collective collage, creating a visual representation of your shared hopes and visions.

Come to a free Land and Lenses art workshop in the park led by Media Arts Educators from Outside The Lens. Snacks and materials are provided. All ages welcome.

Get to know Otay Regional Valley Park and YMCA’s Camp Surf beach and learn about the significance of the land through different art+photo mediums exploring themes of environmental justice, identity & belonging, and resilience. Explore ways we can amplify community voices and connect with each other through art advocacy!

• Your work will be featured in a culminating exhibition at The Front Arte y Cultura
